Niyoosha Ahmadikhoo
Niyoosha Ahmadikhoo (she/they) is a performance artist and scholar based in New York City. Her most recent works explore questions around identity, displacement, performances of/in/through the ongoing Iranian revolution, and Race and Blackness in Iran. She obtained her Master of Arts in Performance Studies from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2017, and her Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University at Buffalo SUNY in 2016. Her latest durational performance called Neurodivergent Pickling was featured at Nafas Exhibition on the intersection of food and arts at The Invisible Dog Art Center in Brooklyn, NY. During the last two years, Niyoosha has presented her research at numerous conferences, including the Modern Languages Association Annual Convention in San Francisco, the Cultural Studies Association Conference in Chicago, and the National Women's Studies Association Conference in Baltimore.
